Project: | Update a glass line |
Client: | Mineralbrunnen Krumbach GmbH |
Location: | Kißlegg, Germany |
Commissioning: | November 2021 |
Scope: |
The line, rated at 40,000 bottles per hour, fills mineral water and CSDs into six different glass bottle formats ranging from 0.25 to 1.0 liters.

With the Modulfill HES filler, Mineralbrunnen Krumbach is able to meet the most exacting hygiene standards for filling returnable glass bottles. The filler features oil-free lift cylinders, automatic CIP cups, and automatic probe adjustment. Infeed and discharge are both fitted with drip edges to drain the spray-cleaning water in a targeted manner.
Furthermore, innovative control technology makes it possible to assign filling valves to specific capper heads. That supports our latest bottle-burst safety system, which prevents any glass fragments from being carried over into the finished product. If a bottle bursts, the broken bottle and its two neighboring bottles are rejected and the associated filling valves are immediately flushed with a powerful stream of water. Mineralbrunnen Krumbach’s quality assurance team can decide and program exactly how the flushing and removal is to be done.
The screw capper is additionally equipped with a cleaning unit – an ionizing extraction system that removes dust from the caps. Finally, a Checkmat inspector checks fill level and proper cap position.
