The French rating agency reviews and evaluates more than 100,000 companies annually for their sustainability performance. The results are documented on an online platform and made available, among others, to the business partners of the respective company. Many Krones customers, especially large key accounts, make their decisions for or against a supplier based, among other things, on the EcoVadis rating. For this reason, Krones has participated in the rating for many years.
What about sustainability within the company? What are the processes and measures? How were these documented? And what results have been achieved? Sustainability ratings provide answers to these questions and thus also establish comparability between different companies. Among the most important and internationally recognised is the rating by EcoVadis.
Worldwide among the best five percent
Our EcoVadis scorecard, published in October, recorded 72 out of a possible 100 points, eleven more than in the previous rating. With the achieved gold medal, Krones now ranks among the top five percent of all rated companies in the industry. Overall, the EcoVadis rating is divided into four subject areas: Environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The best improvement as compared to the previous year was achieved in the areas of “labour and human rights” with a leap from 60 to 80 points.
Another award
Only a few days after the announcement of the EvoVadis results, our Sustainability Team received another piece of good news: Krones has been awarded the „Top-Klima Engagement 2024“ (Top Climate Commitment) seal by the German magazine Focus.
