The idea to create a “System Logistics Forest” was born in a partnership with Treedom, a social business also domiciled in Italy, which enables individuals and organisations to arrange for trees to be planted in distant parts and then to follow the project online.
Planting trees is one of the most effective methods for combatting climate change and preserving our planet’s biodiversity. But its social value is equally important, supporting, as it does, the local communities in the rural areas of the Global South that directly profit from each tree planted – whether it be as a source of food or income.
Excellent reasons, we feel, for continuing the project. System Logistics will in future plant a new tree for every employee joining the company. And each time a baby is born to one of the staff, this will likewise be celebrated by adding another tree to the forest, thus literally turning the idea of sustainable growth into tangible reality, because each time the company gets bigger, the System Logistics Forest will grow, too.
