The Senior Sales Representative contributes to the organisation’s goals by supporting customers’ growth using Krones solutions. They need to be adept at identifying opportunities for New Machine sales and LCS (Lifecycle Service/ After Sales) by matching customers’ needs to Krones’ solutions. Site/ customer visits, collaboration with all relevant Krones departments, along with proper communication internally and with customers to secure orders, are all critical for this role

Your tasks

  • Establish and keep close contact with all customers and provide effective solutions using Krones’ portfolio, matched to customer needs.
  • Promote sale of New Machine and LCS solutions (spare parts, change parts/ retrofits, overhauls, Service Level Agreements, operating supplies and Academy solutions)
  • Build strong customer relationships with all key and potential players in the market
  • Capture New Machine and LCS solutions opportunities in Salesforce CRM, coordinate preparation of quotes, present the quotations to customers and negotiate contracts on behalf of Krones.
  • Liaise with Krones New Machine and LCS Sales and technical teams based in Nairobi, Middle East and Africa, and Krones AG offices to obtain all necessary information and support.
  • Keep customers informed on the status of their orders and ensure deadlines are met
  • Build a strong network with key stakeholders in Krones AG
  • Lead the communication between Krones AG and East Africa operational departments and the customers to facilitate the scheduling of resources and addressing warranty, replacement, and additional parts issues
  • Facilitate all client logistics, administration, and financial management transactions
  • Ensure all orders are completed according to agreement with customer
  • Participate in special projects by helping to co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Take ownership of receivable collections from customers
  • Regular travel to customer locations, Krones solution presentations to customers and attending relevant project meetings
  • Grow the market for New Machine and LCS solutions by identifying and engaging with new customers
  • Provide mentorship to sales representatives 

Your profile

  • University degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Process Engineering or Business Administration with a solid technical understanding
  • At least 5 years as a Sales Engineer or in a Technical Sales role or similar field/position
  • Customer relationship and stakeholder management
  • Sales effectiveness and understanding
  • Basic understanding of Bottling plants and our Krones solutions portfolio
  • General project management abilities
  • Good business administration and financial understanding
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with good English writing and speaking skills

  • Computer literate- use of MS Office
