Your tasks
- Establish and keep close contact with all customers and provide effective solutions using Krones’ portfolio, matched to customer needs.
- Promote sale of New Machine and LCS solutions (spare parts, change parts/ retrofits, overhauls, Service Level Agreements, operating supplies and Academy solutions)
- Build strong customer relationships with all key and potential players in the market
- Capture New Machine and LCS solutions opportunities in Salesforce CRM, coordinate preparation of quotes, present the quotations to customers and negotiate contracts on behalf of Krones.
- Liaise with Krones New Machine and LCS Sales and technical teams based in Nairobi, Middle East and Africa, and Krones AG offices to obtain all necessary information and support.
- Keep customers informed on the status of their orders and ensure deadlines are met
- Build a strong network with key stakeholders in Krones AG
- Lead the communication between Krones AG and East Africa operational departments and the customers to facilitate the scheduling of resources and addressing warranty, replacement, and additional parts issues
- Facilitate all client logistics, administration, and financial management transactions
- Ensure all orders are completed according to agreement with customer
- Participate in special projects by helping to co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Take ownership of receivable collections from customers
- Regular travel to customer locations, Krones solution presentations to customers and attending relevant project meetings
- Grow the market for New Machine and LCS solutions by identifying and engaging with new customers
- Provide mentorship to sales representatives
Your profile
- University degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Process Engineering or Business Administration with a solid technical understanding
- At least 5 years as a Sales Engineer or in a Technical Sales role or similar field/position
- Customer relationship and stakeholder management
- Sales effectiveness and understanding
- Basic understanding of Bottling plants and our Krones solutions portfolio
- General project management abilities
- Good business administration and financial understanding
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with good English writing and speaking skills

- Computer literate- use of MS Office
